Marine Toys For Tots Foundation Welcome to Du Page County Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots Coordinator Rita O'Reilly
Thanks to the generosity of the local community, during the 2011 Toys for Tots campaign, 69583 toys were distributed to 27043 less fortunate children in this area. We look forward to working with everyone again in 2012. Thank you.

We couldn’t have done it without you!

February 2012

Dear Friends,

Your kind and generous support of Toys for Tots 2011 helped us achieve one of our most successful campaigns in recent years. Dedicated volunteers kept the Trains of Hope rolling, beginning in the summer all the way to December 31. You launched collection sites, hosted fundraisers and house parties, sponsored events, contributed money, and many of you tirelessly delivered toys to the warehouse, then sorted and packed them to help fill orders.

We’d like to share with you the results of this year’s amazing campaign:

  • 69,583 toys were collected.
  • $34,142 in monetary contributions was received. A portion of these funds was used to purchase toys for specific age groups. The remaining funds will be used to support our community literacy programs.
  •  68 qualifying agencies registered with TFT, submitting lists of the neediest children in DuPage and Kane counties through schools, religious institutions, community pantries, early learning centers, and women’s shelters, to name a few.
  • As a result, 27,043 children each received approximately 3 new toys for Christmas.

I humbly thank you on behalf of the DuPage County Marine Corps League for continuing to believe, as we do, that every child deserves a little Christmas.

With warm regards,

Rita O’Reilly
